Portugal World Cup 2010 News : Nani Was Sent Off to Portugal Due To Recovery

Portugal’s Football Federation (FPF) denied the rumor that Nani was sent home to Portugal due to an internal conflict. FPF  explained to the media that it has to be done for him to get a better medical treatment. Could it be true?

Nani injured his collar bone on a training session (4/6). At first, he was predicted to be absence only for the Portugal opener match against Ivory Coast, which will be played today. That’s why he had seen following the training session with his team-mates for 2 days. Plus, Nani made a statement that he will be fully recover in just a week.

However, despite of Nani recovery statement, FPF still sent Nani off to Portugal, which cause a new presumption. The rumor was spread that there were a conflict between Coach  Queiroz and Nani, that made him ruled out from World Cup match. It has been reported that the conflict was a personal matter.

FPF Vice President Amandio de Carvalho denied immediately, and claimed that Nani was being sent home for his recovery. ” There are no internal conflict, and we have nothing to hide on this matter. Nani was sent home voluntary, for a better recovery, which he will get from an expert in Portugal.

Nani was reportedly has at least 5 injury since his professional carreer in football. If he doesn’t get the best treatment, it will worsen his injury. Carvalho made a clarification so the players could consentrate on the match, especially for the opener match.

Meanwhile, Nani had to accept Queiroz decision even though he desperately wants to play for Portugal, for his own good. Now, his position was being substitute with Ruben Amorim.
